I also enjoy following the exploits of fellow Australians (and the occasional Kiwi :P ). It's nice to have people operating in the same timezone every now and then.
I have far more followers than I was following. I was also surprised that some of the people whom I thought I was following I wasn't actually... they merely replied enough in the threads of other people I was following. Wow.

I'm surprised that I have any followers at all :)
Don't forget that you have a higher profile because of Jaikufans, the Facebook app (and is the iGoogle app yours?)

@merlyn: I was the same! I keep discovering people that I think I'm watching are really just replying to people I really AM watching!

Thanks for the welcome! I notice that you're the author of Net::Jaiku. Am I correct that ->setPresence() is used to post jaikus?

And does it just take a string? It's not mentioned in the POD (only the synopsis), and the code suggests it's expecting a hash of options.

@pjf: Mmm .. I should upload the latest version to CPAN now there's more than me interested in it!
Yes, it requires a few params. See #xmlrpc">the docs for full descriptions
'message' is the main one you need, but there's also icon, location and the mysterious 'generated'
